Anna Rainville MS, LMFT

Anna is Co-Owner and Clinical Director of Grounded Roots Mental Health Therapy and is Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist ( LMFT). She has over 10 years of providing mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, and families in a variety of settings such as outpatient, residential treatment, and community-based services. She worked with foster youth and with the homeless populations providing crisis interventions, substance use treatment,  case management, group therapy, family therapy, and individual therapy. Most recently, she managed an intensive outpatient clinic overseeing treatment for individual who suffer from severe mental illness including: Bipolar Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Schizophrenia, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, etc.

Anna believes in utilizing the client-centered approach. She specializes in working with individuals who are experiencing depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, and complex trauma. Her additional areas of focus include anger management, emotional regulation, behavioral issues, self-esteem, relaxation training, stress management and grief/loss. She  participated in trainings in the areas of dialectical behavior therapy(DBT), solution-focused therapy, addiction, cognitive behavioral therapy(CBT). She’s an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing(EMDR) therapist and received training through the EMDR Institute.  She wants all of her patients to feel better about their lives and themselves. She works collaboratively with each person to assist them along their healing journey.
