Rosa Cabral, LMFT
As a Mexican-born immigrant and the first in my family to pursue a career in therapy, I bring a deeply personal perspective that informs everything I do. My lived experiences allow me to connect on a meaningful level with individuals who feel caught between cultures, expectations, or identities. I use evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and experiential therapy to create a safe, supportive, and tailored space for each client.
I specialize in working with first-generation individuals, LGBTQIA+ clients, and those navigating the complexities of substance use. With a strong foundation as a program manager at an intensive outpatient clinic, I have extensive experience supporting clients with severe and persistent mental health challenges, including children. My goal is to help you build the tools to move forward, no matter where you are starting.
The phrase “meeting clients where they are” is often used in therapy, but for me, it’s more than a concept—it’s the heart of my practice. I strive to walk alongside you, listening to your story with compassion and curiosity, while helping you map out a path toward the life you want. Therapy isn’t about fitting into someone else’s expectations; it’s about embracing your unique journey, at your pace, with the support and guidance you deserve. Let’s navigate this journey together, one step at a time.
Rosa brings a wealth of expertise to her work, specializing in populations (below in Bold), while also skillfully addressing a wide range of other challenges. Her diverse experience and compassionate approach allow her to tailor support to each client’s unique needs, making her a versatile and highly effective therapist. Whether you’re seeking guidance in one of her specialty areas or navigating other life difficulties, Rosa is here to help you feel heard, understood, and empowered on your journey.
